musculoskeletal system diseases
Musculoskeletal diseases (MMS) occur in the osteoarticular system, associated with painful symptoms and functional limitations, which may also include systemic manifestations. The pathologies have an acute and brief or chronic onset such as back pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. An inadequate lifestyle, obesity and reduced physical activity and advancing age contribute to an increase in the prevalence of these pathologies. Early diagnosis and adequate treatment are essential because they would lead to a reduction in disability and an improvement in prognosis and life expectancy, with a consequent reduction also in indirect costs.
