In Europe, over 5 million people live with chronic inflammatory diseases, pathologies united by a chronic inflammatory condition associated with an abnormal immune reaction. The most frequent pathologies are: rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. These diseases involve a daily management of painful and sometimes disabling symptoms, compromising the patients' quality of life. They also represent a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and cancer.
