The IEO (European Institute of Oncology) presents an important project for lung cancer prevention. The re-edition of the Cosmos Study and a comparative lobectomy vs. segmentectomy study are just some of the initiatives carried out. The Cosmos II Study will have double the patients of Cosmos I and apart from a lower dosage CT there will also be a new tool for early lung cancer detection: an exam to detect specific microRNA released by tumor cells.
