Milan sees the 40th anniversary of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT). Looking forward to the next years, we are confronted with new and exiciting challenges such as new genome technologies, integration of targeted therapies into transplant strategies, the emerging role of cell therapies, the choice of donor. These and many other scientific issues will be included in the Scientific Programme that will integrate top-level science, high technology and clinical excellence.
