The new president of EBOPRAS (European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), Professor Aurelio Portincasa, the first Italian to hold this prestigious position, illustrates the aims and objectives of the institution which represents all the European scientific societies operating in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The main target is congruence, at the continental level, of the methods of continuous training and the updating of specialists and departments, in order to guarantee comparable levels of performance for patients in all countries of the European Community.
