Circa l’80 per cento dei tumori dell'essere umano appare legato al rischio ambientale. L’impegno forte della ricerca è attualmente quello di trovare modi nuovi per mappare l’effetto dell’ambiente sulle cellule del nostro organismo, e poter di conseguenza misurare il rischio di ciascun individuo di sviluppare un tumore.
