Innovations in interventional cardiology
There are many innovations concerning the two branches of interventional cardiology. Coronary intervention focuses, especially in young patients, on bio-absorbable stents. Concerning structural heart disease intervention, there seems to be a new worldwide trend, particularly in patients with valvular heart disease, to be treated with percutaneous intervention.
