At the 11th European Society of Gynecology Congress, Preis School Academy organized a plenary session on the role of progesterone in pregnancy. In their reports, the speakers stressed that progesterone not only favors the onset of pregnancy but it also maintains it to term, hence its importance in the prevention of preterm births. Great attention was paid to routes of drug administration, in particular to the comparison between the effectiveness of systemic and local vaginal administration.
