9th International Symposium on Experimental and Clinical Spinal Cord Repair and Regeneration
A multidisciplinary approach to boost research on spinal cord injuries
The Brunelli Foundation organized the IX International Symposium dedicated to spinal injuries. Following the wishes of Rita Levi Montalcini, the Foundation chose a multidisciplinary approach for this symposium, held every two years. The aim is to promote comparison and international collaboration between neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, biologists, biomedical engineers and other researchers and clinicians working on the same issues, in order to improve the quality of life of spinal injury patients. The speakers presented their latest research in the field of molecular biology, optical and electronic histology, neurotransmitters and receptors, pharmacology, immunology, stem cells, nerve growth factors, nanodrugs and many other interesting topics.
