Treating Tricuspid Regurgitation and improving the outcome

Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is a frequent condition that occurs in different contexts. Whether it is associated with heart failure, Degenerative Mitral Valve Disease, or in isolated modalities, the presence of TR is correlated with excess mortality, and the more severe the TR, the higher the mortality rate. TR is, in and by itself, a target for therapy. Patients should be treated and, in clinical trials, improved outcomes should be demonstrated.
