Quadriplar catjeter for left ventricular pacing Prof.ssa Valeria Calvi Amongst patients suffering of cardiac heart failure who have been treated with resynchronisation therapy, 30-40% receive no real benefits from this treatment. The position of the catheter which should stimulate the left ventricule, seems to be the major problem. A new quadriplar device may be the solution: it has 4 electrodes instead of only 2 permitting to chose amongst 10 different placements in order to achieve the best possible stimulation. |
